We do two things and we’ve been doing them for over 20 years.

Every project is different, but we generally follow this structure:

• Pre-Production – Creative planning, logistics, casting, and scheduling
• Production – On-location shooting with our experienced crew
• Post-Production – Editing, grading, retouching, and asset polishing
• Delivery – Final files delivered in your preferred format and resolution

It depends to be honest. If you’re planning commercial or corporate video a permit maybe required but depends. Feature films, TV shows or sensitive documentaries will probably need a permit and will actually be helpful in the long run as it opens a lot of doors.

Filming permits are issued by different departments in each country and have different requirements. Normally you will apply through EM Productions but here is a list of things we would need:

• A completed filming permit application
• A script or content summary and then translated and notarized by an official
• Government notary.
• A detailed filming schedule and location list
• Passport scans for all foreign crew
• A full list of equipment to be imported

Processing usually takes about 20-45 working days.

Costs depend on the type and scale of the production. They can include:

• Content review fees and translations
• Filming permit application fees
• A government-assigned film officer (some countries require them to be present during shoots)
• Press visa fees for foreign crew (Vietnam and China require this)

Yes. If you’re filming in national parks, protected areas, or national relics, separate permits are often required. These may come with additional fees and extended processing times.

Drone use is tightly regulated and requires a separate drone permit, even if you already have a filming permit.
To apply, you’ll need:

• Operator details (individual or company)
• Drone model and serial number
• Flight area coordinates
• Schedule, location, and purpose of use

Applications are submitted to different departments and in some countries can take up to 30-45 days where other countries can be 14 working days to process.
Operating drones without a permit can result in fines, prison, black listing or confiscation of equipment.
