It depends to be honest. If you’re planning commercial or corporate video a permit maybe required but depends. Feature films, TV shows or sensitive documentaries will probably need a permit and will actually be helpful in the long run as it opens a lot of doors.

Filming permits are issued by a specific government office. Normally you will apply through EM Productions but here is a list of things we would need:

- A script or content summary and then translated and notarized by an official
- Government notary for that country.
- A detailed filming schedule and location list
- Passport scans for all foreign crew
- A full list of equipment to be imported
Processing usually takes about 20-45 working days.
What are the costs involved in getting a filming permit?
Costs depend on the type and scale of the production. They can include:
